My first ceramic masterpiece appeared at the age of 10 in Mrs. Murphy’s summer school ceramics class. I made a turtle.
Process. Practice. Patience. My pots are storytellers, snapshots of a moment in time when clay, water, gravity, hands and fire come together in a dynamic relationship. The story begins as a sketch or a fleeting
image from my imagination. I am learning to trust my creativity, to exercise some faith as I journey with the form on an unplanned but meaningful path.
Carol recently explored immigrant histories cultural approaches to education and the pedagogy of food while earning a graduate degree in Adult Education and Community Development at the University of
Toronto.
